The real reason is that I am told that the "Official" Canadian English
dictionary contains only two spellings that are different from English UK.
In Australia, we have never trusted the Poms, and the 'Murricans have never
been able to spell.
So we had to put both of them right...
Besides which, we have a whole lot of words you lot don't even know how to
say right, let alone spell
For example "Melbourne" and "Tomatoe".
Once we can get you to say "Melbun" and "Tomartoh", we've gotchers fer life
Cheers
Amazing, eh? There are twice as many people in Canada as there are in
Australia, but they get a dictionary and we don't. Maybe MS figures that
Canadians are all Windows users (they get a Canadian dictionary).
