Canceling Publisher docs with Win. XP.,

diamond dilemma

I have windows XP professional, HP officejet 4215, deleting Publisher
documents. Canceled document from Print menu while printing. Canceled
document on printer but this document keeps showing up, even while it reads
deleting file.
I can not print anything else. Please advise.
