Cancelled Project and Assignments

Linda

Hi,
If a project gets cancelled mid-stream, what is the best
way to represent it's cancellation within Project Server.
If possible, I would like to still be able to show the
assignments, but not have those assignments count toward a
resources allocation/assignment projections within Project
Server.
Is this possible?

Thanks,
Linda

You might do something like this:

1. Select all of the uncompleted tasks in the project and change the
Remaining Work to 0 hours (this will "cancel" the uncompleted portion of
every task)
2. Add a note to every cancelled task to indicate when and why the task was
cancelled
3. In the Resource Sheet view of the project, change the Booking Type value
for every resource to Proposed
4. If you are using a custom Project field to indicate its current status,
set the value to Cancel
5. Save and republish the project

Just some thoughts. Hope this helps.
