Cancelling a sent task in Outlook

I am trying to cancel a number of tasks sent, each sent to four people. What I'd like to do is cancel these previous tasks, have them deleted simultaneously on everyone's taskpads and send out new tasks. I had no luck with Outlook help and I am desperate to make the deletions and changes.
