Cannont disable Add-ins because mouse doesn't work in dialog box

Here's the problem briefly. For a complete list of things I've tried messing
with see
http://jordancpeterson.blogspot.com/2008/11/word-2007-mouse-not-working-text-area.html

Using Word 2007 (Office Ultimate) on Vista SP1.

Mouse doesn't function in text fields and dialog boxes in Word. From
research/test I'm assuming it's a add-ins issue (most likely with
FlashPaper). To disable it Word needs administrative rights but mouse only
works in Safe mode or with the /a switch which I need to even select the
Add-ins tab in the Options dialog box. I'm trying to sort out where to
proceed from here. I'd uninstall FlashPaper2 but I can't seem to sort out how
to do that without uninstalling all of the Macromedia products installed
(which I use some of). FlashPaper I don't use.

Thank you in advance for any ideas/suggestions? :)

Sounds like a corrupt Word Data key. Run Regedit, navigate to the data key
and delete it.
