Cannot Accept/Decline/add calendar invitations

When I receive a calendar invitation, Entourage 2004 recongnizes the
item as an invitation and displays the correct event details (date,
recurrence, etc.) However, the Accept/Decline/Tentative buttons are
grayed out and I cannot add the event to my calendar or hit the
buttons. Any thoughts on
why this happens?
MacOS 10.4.7
Entourage 2004 11,2,5


Just got a new Mac and all was fine until I installed the last update
"Office 2004 11.3.0 update" yesterday (from 11.2.4 to 11.2.5) and all
happend again.

I'm having the same problem. Reinstalled and still greyed out. I work
with 3 other people and their's are not grey out. We've checked
preferences to no avail.

I did also reinstall before and as for you it didn't help. I think its
some file you need to remove.

Sorry if this ends up on here twice.

This worked for me:
In mail, click on your account (in bold, in my case it was pholmes)
Under file go to new folder
Title your new folder
In Type: pick calendar
click ok

Now Entourage knows you have a calendar that matches your email address
and not the default Calendar (on my computer) one that is there. Now
when someone sends me a meeting request I can accept and the meeting is
placed on my calendar.

It worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Hi There,

I have got kind of similar problem but it is kind of more weird.... One
of the guys in the office uses Entpurage 2004 11.3.0 on Mac OS 10.4.8.
Everything was fine until he decided to move to Mail which in the end
did not work so he came back to Entourage and since then he cannot
accept invitations. Any invitations he gets the buttongs are grey out
(the three of them) If he log in on webmail he can accept invitations
without any problems. We thought it was his profile and to be more sure
we decided to give him a new machine and start from Zero. However Big
surprise when we sent a test invitation to his entourage email and he
still not being able to accepting them.

Any ideas????
