cannot accept or reject tasks using IMAP in Outlook 2003

I am using IMAP in Outlook 2003 and while it works fine with everything else
if I get an assigned task I cannot accept or reject it. Users of POP do not
have a problem with this issue. Changing to POP is not an option.
