Cannot accept Tasks

Ok this one has blown me away. My wife and I have both installed outlook 2003
and have changed no settings whatsoever. Just added email accounts and such.
I can send Tasks to her just fine but when she sends them to me it shows the
data in the task like a regular email and has a blank attachment. There also
i no accept or decline button. We have made sure it says send in outlook rich
text format on both ends but still no go. i am out of options at this point.
Any ideas?

Have her go into your record in her Contacts folder and double-click your email address. She needs to mark it for Outlook rich-text format, then save the contact.

ok I got her to change it and still no go. I tried to send myself a task from
a coworkers computer and it still didn't work even after changing my contact
to outlook rich text on the coworkers computer. It has to be something so
simple.

Not necessarily. It could be that your mail server (which is?) is blocking rich-text content.

Wish I could edit the last post. I finally got some kind of answer from the
knowledge base i think...We do use exchange (unknown version) and the mskb
says to configure the exchange server to use exchange rich text. I am in a
big corporation and that isn't going to happen. If this is correct I am outa
luck I guess unless theres another solution.

If your company uses Exchange, you and your coworkers shouldn't have any problem but ... you also shouldn't be able to change the recipient properties for coworkers' addresses. Instead, you should be picking the users from the Global Address List.

But when sending to someone outside the company, there's a good chance the server is stripping the RTF content, so you'll not be able to do task assignments.

Ug you hit the nail on the head. I am trying to send and/or receive tasks
from inside my company to my wife who is at home. Oh well count on software
to be so picky. Thank you for at least trying to help me.
