Cannot Access Access with MS XP (as usual)

Where do I get the file that permits me to access Access
97 which is blocked by Windows XP in the usual friendly MS
nonsense.

What do you mean by "blocked"? I'm running Access 2000 and Access 2002 on my
XP Pro machine ...

I am not sure what you mean?

I run access 97 all the time on winXP boxes, and it runs just fine.

If you are getting the no-license error, this is install bug problem. There
is a download that will fix this problem available free at Microsoft.

You may need to have Admin privileges to install A97.
If so, you probably want to delete the contents of
MSACCESS.SRG, so that A97 does not attempt to re-register
when starting after another version has been used.

If your problem is with Outlook Express, you can
change the settings of OE to allow you to see MDB files.

If your problem is with Outlook, there is no simple
solution: you should zip or rename files before
sending.
