Cannot access drives or folders from within Office prgms

Hi,

My office 2007 has recently started giving me grief! When I try to open or
SaveAs and try to select a folder, whether on my HD or drives on our Server,
a message box pops up and says, "Initialising the root folders to display",
with a blue worm which takes up to 15 secs or so to complete. Then, when I
click on one of the drives, it allows me to select a drive, but I then
cannot change the selection. I cannot open the folders in that drive.
The SaveAs or Open window behaves as if the computer is frozen although I
can still cancel out of those windows. I also have the Corel Office program
installed, (with WordPerfect), and I do not have any problems accessing any
drives or folders through that program.

The problem exists in Excel, Word and Access.
I have Repaired and run the Diagnostics program and all checks out OK.

Any ideas?

In Windows XP, right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows
desktop or in the Start menu, left-click on Disconnect Network Drive,
and disconnect any mapped drives that are not currently available.
Windows Vista should have a similar option.

Ok....thanks for that. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled the program,
but in doing so and rebooting I found there was a Network drive that needed
disconnecting, which I did. So I don't know what fixed the problem, but it
seems that would have done it.
