Hi:
I have been running Office 2007 and Outlook 2007 on an XP Pro system that
was fully up to date for about 6 months on an old 3GZ single processor
system with 2GB of RAM. I decided to upgrade to a Duo processor about 3
weeks ago and to move upgrade to Windows 7. For the upgrade I choose to use
the Windows Easy Transfer program to setup all my accounts. Since moving to
the new system I have been unable to connect my Contacts to my email system
in Outlook 2007. If I select NEW email and then click on the TO: and type
in a name to search for the email address it gives me an error: "This search
cannot be completed. There is no address list to search in. Contact your
Microsoft Exchange adm." If you click on the Contact folder and choose
Properties and then go to the Address Book tab, you see that the " Show this
folder as an address book" is dimmed and is not checked. If you go to
Account Settings and to Address Book and click on the address book box there
are no contact list shown.
My questions are: How do I get my contacts list to be a available for an
address list in Outlook? 2 How do you delete a contact folder that is
attached to an email account? (I have exported my contact list into a CSV
file and plan to reload when I get the problem fixed.
Thanks for any recommendations or suggestions.
