Cannot access Help in Office 2000. Causes hang.

Installed Office 2000 SR1 Small Business in 98SE. Since the C drive was a
small partition on my laptop, installed to D. (But empty folders appear in
C\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Word, Excel).

Help shows in menu bar, but trying to access it, whether in Outlook, Word or
Excel causes hang. Msohelp apprears in "Close Program" window.
