cannot access issues in Sharepoint

The functionality around documents works OK but when going
to issues, no figures are shown against projects and when
you follow the link for a project you get the following
error message:

Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are
based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.
There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web
server running SharePoint Team Services. Please contact
your system administrator.

The data does exist in the Sharepoint SQL database.

This confuses me as the documents are held in the same
database, just a different table.

Any ideas please?

Did you figure out what was causing this. I am getting the exact same error.
