I cannot access the Office Site on IE6. I get redirected to the site for IE7
and Office 2007 and told that I don't have scripting enabled. Also told I
don't allow cookies. I do have scripting enabled on IE6 and I have custom
settings for cookies but do allow first party cookies (ask first). I never
had any problems using the Office site until the new site went into effect.
I did do the IE 7 beta for several months (a year ago) and then went back to
IE 6 on XP Pro SP2. I also did the Office 2007 beta but uninstalled it
months ago. I use Works Suite 2006 and used to be able to scan for Office
updates at the Office site but I cannot reach the site for IE6 and Office XP
now. I can only reach the site for IE 7 and Office 2007 neither of which I
have.
I can easily access the Office site for IE6 and XP using Firefox or
SeaMonkey. I get no strange protests about java script or cookies using
those browsers but I can't scan the computer for needed patches using those
browsers.
