Cannot access read-only excel documents

I have 3 excel spreadsheet files that can not be opened. I get a message
"Cannot access read-only document <file name>". The attributes are normal,
no read-only has been checked. All other excel files have an author but
these three. I have not introduced a password to my knowledge. I have
already asked the same question to MS and was issued a confirmation number
SRZ050201002533 and it indicated that I would get a response in 1 day. This
is the second day and still have not received a response. Can you help me?
