I am running Windows XP Home Version SP3 and Word 2003. I have set up 3
users each with password protection.
My problem began when I tried to copy a Word file from another user's area to
my user area. I clicked and dragged a Word file from the other user's area
to a folder in my user area using two My Computer windows. (I set up the
original accounts and passwords). I then went to my area and found the file
but was unable to open it. I received the following error message "Word
cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges".
I then went back to the original user's area but cannot find the file.
Apparently I moved the file from the original user's area to my user area. I
have tried a number of things but as I am only an Intermediate Beginner
computer user. I am now at a total loss.
I could really use the help.
Thanks.
