I installed Office 2003 trial version on my Virtual PC at home. I am a new
IT student and the Virtual PC is not configured for internet access so I
wanted to phone in the activation. When the activation window pops up, the
phone option is "grayed out" and not available. My only options are to
connect to the internet and activate, or upgrade to the regular version. In
retrospect, we practiced an installation using the Office CD on our computers
in class so the product key was used once a few days ago but we never
activated the copy at that time. I have a dial-up connection so you can
probably understand why I didn't want to configure the internet access on the
Virtual PC.
Any suggestions on how I can do a phone activation when the option is not
available in the activation window?
