Cannot activate Office 2003

I have bought a new computer and installed Office 2003 Pro. The
activation wizard does not run and the activation options on the menus
of Word, Excel etc does nothing. All writing and editing options are
greyed out so I must need to activate. Tried installation a few times
and always the same.

I have the same - or a similar problem - with the 60 day online trial. The activation wizard is unable to find the (perfectly serviceable) internet connection. And of course as it's the trial version there is no support from Microsoft.
