We're trying to update our OFF 2k admin install and we're

Sandy,

What update are you trying to apply to the admin install point and what is
the URL from which you downloaded the update?

Thanks,

Are you using the administrative version of SP-3? What is the name of the
file you are using for the update?

Thanks,

Hi Sandy,

The difference in Office 2000 SR1 and SR1a was in
the installer. If you are at SR1 you should be okay
to install Office 2000 SP3.

What is the command line you are using and what is
the error you're getting when installing the Admin
rather than client version of the Office 2000 SP3 update from
http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2003/admin/97_2000
or your update CD?

We're trying to get to SP3, so we're currently at SR1 and
we understand that we need to / or should get to SR1a and
then SP3. We're at SR1 and we're trying to get it to SR1a
using an administrative update filename data1.msp >>

Well, we decided to start from scratch and re-create the
admin point from scratch and we're good to go now. We re-
installed sr1a and then bumped it up to sp3 without
incident with a new admin point name. We're going to
rename the share name back to the original one we started
with and then refresh our clients....hope all goes
well....
