cannot archive cannot navigate to archive.pst to use inbox repair

Is this a vista problem? I can get to the archive.pst file using Explore,
but cannot navigate to it using scanpst.exe. The folder APPDATA does not
appear in the list. Is Vista hiding it from me?
I wish to archive (or delete) earlier items from my calendar which is 22 kbs
or so.
Archive starts, no dialog box or windows appear. No error reporting. A
small icon saying "archiving" appears at the lower right for a second or two,
then disappears. That's it. That's all.
This is urgent. When syncing to Blackberry it is trunkating my data. Need
to archive and reduce.
What should I do?
Any help very appreciated.

Have found it. Ran scanpst.exe which tells me the archive.pst is fine. So
why does it not run....
I ran the checklist in AutoArchie Not Working.. all ok except cannot check
for a modified date. I am trying to archive the Calendar, and when when I
open "an item" there is no menu available to choose File Properties. Ditto
for the Calendar folder, cannot see a date. Any ideas?

Thanks, Diane. I am not using Outlook for Emails. I use Calendar, Contacts
Memo & Tasks only. Does the Modified Date problem appy to these?

you need to customize the view to add the modified field to the view.
