Cannot Archive Email in Inbox or Sent Items

R

Rebecca

I was wondering if any of you had any information on
Archiving errors. This is what I get when trying to do an
autoarchive and a manuel archive. I am trying to archive
mail 6 months old and the error log reports as follows:

Error while archiving folder "Inbox" in store "Mailbox -
Toby Brenner".
Some items could not be copied. They were either moved or deleted, or
access was denied.

Error while archiving folder "Sent Items" in store "Mailbox - Toby
Brenner". Some items could not be copied. They were either moved or
deleted, or access was denied.

I also tried to force an immediately archive and it did
not do anything. No error or any type of message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

The file is about 94 megs. I have also created a new file
and it still will not archive the emails. What do you
suggest??? Is there too many emails in the inbox???
There are at least 4000 emails in her inbox. Could there
be a corruption????

No, you're not near the limits for either overall .PST size or number of
items per folder. I was going to suggest that you run the Inbox Repair
Tool against the archive file, but you say you're still having trouble
even when you create a new archive file, so try running the Inbox Repair
Tool against the main .PST file instead. The tool is a file called
scanpst.exe and it should be on your hard drive somewhere. Just run it
and see if it finds any errors.
