Cannot Archive "Personal Folders"

I'm running Outlook 2000 in Internet Only Mode, and when I
attempt to archive legacy messages currently stored in my
Inbox, I receive the following error message:

'Error while archiving folder "Inbox" in store "Personal
Folders".'

I've attempted to save the archive file (archive.pst) in a
different directory and under a different name, but I
continue to receive the same error message. I have plenty
of hard drive space. Any suggestions? Thank!
