Since I have installed the XP Service Pack 2 update...
I use Word as my Outlook editor..... If I try to insert a sound or movie off
of the Web Tools toolbar... I get the message:
"The server application, source file or item cannot be found. Make sure the
applications properly installed , and that it has not been deleted, moved or
renamed."
So as a result they [sound or movie] will not operate. all of the other
icons/ buttons on the Web Tools tool bar will work ok.....
I did a 'sound' search and found that a sound file had been placed in MY
DOCUMENTs file . I t was not there before I did the upgrade to SP2.... The
'Sound' file in my documents is an APPLICATION file... and it's title Win 32
Cabinet Self-Extractor .... it is 469KB in size.
I'm wondering if somehow this file got 'moved' to my documents somehow?
Always in the past when I have wanted to place music or a short quip INTO my
message so that it would play when the message was opened.... I would just
click on the 'speaker' icon in my Web Tools toolbar in Word.... and it would
go to Media file where I had those quips and music stored.... Now nothing
happens except the message i spoke of at the top of this note.... ??????
that the server application can not be found...
How do i get everything to work again....
MY Media file is still in tact with all of the items that I have placed
there... and it will open and play just fine if i go to that source.... But I
cannot 'hide' that music in my mails.... as i could before.
I also recently installed Windows Player 10.0 udating it from 9.0.... could
this be a problem????
I don't know how or why that 'Sounds' file all of a sudden appeared in MY
DOCUMENTS file.... Do I possible need to move it .... or where was it located
before.... It seems to me that when the sounds icon on the WEB TOOLS toolbar
used to go to SOUNDS.... then to Media.... then i would click on the item in
that media file that i wanted to insert... ???? Please Help... thank you...

Yep, a known bug caused by SP2 and MS is working on a fix at the moment.
