Cannot browse to files in Word, Excel, Outlook

I cannot Browse to or Save as... files from within Word, Excel, Outllook.
Nor can I attach anything to my emails. The hourglass just keeps hovering
forever until I End Task. This seems to be due to an update from last week,
but cannot be sure. I have tried the repair Office tool on the CD, but no
luck. I am using MS OFfice XP Standard Version 2002 for Students and
Teachers.

Go to the email from PW dated 4/19/2006 beginning "Your latest updates have
fouled up my com.... and vote 'I agree', maybe we'll wake somebody up at MS
