Cannot clear doc 1

I typed address for a label, then printed label. Did not
want to save, so I closed WORD. Usually it asks if I want
to save. It did not. after closing I wanted to write
another doc. It now alsways opens up with the first doc.
Cannot clear or delete it. Followed the info at the MVPS
site about normal.com Didi not solve problem. Finally
renamed normal to old normal, msde a shortcut to desk top
and open word with that. I hope it works. Is there any
other way to clear the problem so WORD will operate
properly.Can I remove office and reinstall. Will that
clear it up. No help from the MS Knowledge base.

Thank you. Read the site. Solved problem by going to
word,help,template,modify template.
