Cannot compact or create backup

Each time I tried to compact or backup my mde, the following message will
appear and I cannot exit.

Message
You can't exit now.
If you are running a VB module that is using OLE or DDE you may need to
interrupt the module.

I do not know how to solve this, please help.

Well this will be a hard one to crack. You are talking about an MDE file.
This means you can't check neither make any change to the code. My advose
would be to get starting from the original mdb and try to give us some more
information about where the code is 'hanging'...

Thanks, I forget to mention that it works without problem sometimes and for
some PCs it just cannot compact or backup.
