cannot complete save due to file permission error

I am trying to save the document to my HD and I am getting the error. If I
continue to try and save it (7-8 times in a row), eventually it will save.
Why is this happening?

How about some information such as Word and Windows versions. Most
importantly, do you have Norton Anti Virus?

I am running Windows XP, Word 2003. Yes, I do have Norton Anti-Virus!!

Ah! Open NAV and clear the Office Plug-in option under user preferences.
