Hi All,
We have a user who's Excel 2007 application keeps crashing on random excel
documents (all seem to be ones that have been produced in 97-2003 format)
saying: "cannot complete the task with avilable resouces, choose less data or
close other"
The excel documents are mostly less than a Megabyte so size is not the
problem here. The PC itself is a decent spec and the problem happens
sometimes when nothing else is even open or running. Once the error occurs,
excel is dead and you have to end the task/process to get rid of it but then
once you do that you can then go into the same document and it works fine.
This error happens once or twice a day on a wide variety of spreadsheets.
Some of the spreadsheets have been just plain text and colour, no formulas or
links or anything. I've read the MS article that says this happens when you
refer to a cell using its "relative name" but that does not help here. I've
done all windows and office updates and a repair of office 2007. Anyone have
any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris
