Cannot Connect error

Hi all,
This is the second time I'm posting this, but really need help.
I have a user that simply cannot connect to the project server during
opening of MS Project 2003. We have >300 users and this is the first time
I've seen this error. The full error is:

Cannot connect:
Project was unable to establish a connection with the selected Project
Server. This could be caused by a loss of network connectivity or problems
with the Project Server or databse.

Has anyone ever seen this error?
I have tried everything that everyone has suggested with no success. He was
able to sign into another's computer and start Project without error - just
gets error on his PC. I signed into my pc with his account and was able to
setup a new project account and connect without error. We've checked all
internet settings - trusted sites - deleted temp files and cookies.. Removed
MS Project from his PC and reinstalled it. I can create a project account
on his pc and test the connection without error. He can even access Project
Web Access (same server) without error.
I've even had the MCS support delete his windows profile and re-add it.
Still getting the same error.

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks - KarenF

Karen:

The behavior you describe points squarely at a user profile problem on the
nonworking PC. There's something unique there causing the problem. Are you
certain your support folks renamed the old profile and then created a brand
new one?

Hi Gary,

The support people deleted his profile and recreated it. Still getting the
same error.
Any other suggestions?
