I need some help in trying to figure out what i need to do in connecting
Project Pro 2003 to the Project Web Server. I have done the following

1. I launched MP Pro
2. I went to TOOLS > ENTERPRISE OPTIONS > MICROSOFT OFFICE PROJECT SERVER
ACCOUNTS
3. Selected the ADD Button
4. Entered name of account and the URL of the project server
5. When I click on the Test connection I get the following message

Unexpected Server Response

clicking on Details shows:

You are not authorized to view this page.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the
credentials that you supplied.

And Yet when Use Internet explorer to access the Project Web Server I
connect Ok.

The computer I am Using at to try to connect is XP Home.

Any Help would be greatly Appreciated.

Is your computer registered in the domain? If the computer is a part of a
Workgroup, then you'll need to perform the steps below (thanks to a gracious
person who helped me). However, I'm still awaiting a solution for Windows
2000!!!

You can read about my problem here
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...&p=1&tid=11707e8a-33fa-485f-ab97-b78b81a05395

If you're using windows XP you can go to Control Panel>User
Accounts>[Account name]>Manage Network Passwords and enter the fully
qualified windoze account name (i.e. [domain]\[username]) and the password
for your project server location (i.e. project.server.hostname) and you
should be good to go.
