Im want to use outlook 2003 and we have a Netscape email server. We use LDAP
for our global address book and Outlook is throwing me this error - Cannot
contact LDAP Directory server (81) - everytime I use LDAP to enter names in
my email or search the address book. But when I use Mozilla Thunderbird,
(which is the default email client in our company) with the same
configuration, it resolves all LDAP addresses. I am thinking that it might be
an issue with the Search Base. whereas thunderbird uses this format
Base DN: o=xxmycompany.com
I tried using the same format in Outlook 2003, but the error still shows up.
I asked around and they said that the search base they use. Are there any
known issues if the LDAP server is a different vendor (ie. Netscape) or any
work around out there? Thanks.
