cannot copy (ctrl/c) visio drawing

cannot copy (ctrl/c) visio drawing. i get:

error (318) - referenced cell User.Value[30] does not exist

This is a bug in the product, and the workaround is very difficult to find.
Basically there is a formula in one of your shapes that is referencing a
cell that does not exist in the destination. Visio is supposed to handle
this for you but for some reason has not.

If you are familiar with Visio's Shapesheet, you might be able to determine
the cell that is missing and add it yourself. I would first look at the
Shapesheet for the page you are copying from and compare it to the
Shapesheet for the page you are copying to.
