Cannot copy graphics from Publisher to Word 2003

I have a document in Publisher which I need to convert to Word 2003. I
thought the easiest way would be copy/paste but although the words come
across fine, I cannot get the graphics to paste into work.

I have a colleague who is able to do this so there must be a setting
somewhere that I need to check.
