Cannot copy/paste from IE7 to word 2003

So i've tried this on two different (One of which is almost brand
new!!!) Windows XP machines running internet explorer 7 with the same
result -


When trying to copy text from IE7, and pasting to word 2003 -
inevitably the system freezes - word shuts down due to an error and it
cannot complete the task.
WTF?

It is a security feature. Use Edit, Paste Special, Plain Text and it should
be OK.

This feature can cause a person to lose work in Word 2003. A fix
needs to be implemented so that pasting from IE7 does not cause Word
to crash.
