Cannot create Data Analysis view 2007

Hello good pple of the forum, i have successfully generated the OLAP cube
within project server 2007with success. Now i have my OLAP cube database in
the Analysis services instance in sql server 2005 with all the necessary
cubes in place.
However if i need to create a data analysis view in Project Server 2007 in
the "analysis services database to created drop down field" i can't get to
pick the Analysis Services Database to be created.

Please what am i doing wrong

You need to install the following on the client machine:-

OLEDB9.0
SQL Native Client
Office Web Components

Hi ghostme,

Also make sure that your top level domain site is a trusted site and ensure
that under the custom level security under Miscellanious "Access data
sources accross domains" is enabled.
That should do the trick

Paul,
I am having the same trouble. We are running SQL Analysis Services 2005
(not sure which SP level).

The cube is building correctly, and I am trying to setup the Data Analysis
Views for the first time. When I click on the "Analysis Services Database to
be created" dropdown box, and choose Refresh Database list, I get the
following error:
"Failed to Connect to Analysis Services server. Verify the server name and
try again."

I have read the tech note link you attached above, and have downloaded the
OLEDB9.0 and Office Web Components to my computer.

In the Features pack, I only saw SQL SERVER Native Client. Is that the
Native client I need to download?

I tried to build the view again after downloading the other two items, but
still get the same problem.

My admin is busy on another problem, so I am trying to trouble shoot this as
much as I can by myself.

Any help would be appreciated.
