Cannot create document space with projects

Y

Yh

Whenever i publish a project to the server a document workspace never gets
created. When i go to the pwa site and attempt to create the site there
manually it says error occurred when creating a site. site does not seem to
exist. when i go to the site provisioning section the line for site
templates does not have any choices.

i was wondering if there is another set i needed to take in order to allow
pwa to create document spaces on sharepoint site.

all versions latest with service packs.

One cause for this problem is that you didn't enter a primary site owner and
email address when you configured site administration through SharePoint
Central Administration. Otherwise, you need to verify that your setup is
configure correctly and that you can connect to SharePoint through the
SharePoint Administration page in Project Web Access.

Gary,

Do you have any other sugestions if you can connect to the SharePoint page
from PWA by selecting Manage Sharepoint Services but not still create
doument site workspace when publishing projects?

If a primary site owner and email address was not entered, can it be
configured afterwards, or is it a reinstall or WSS and Project Server?

Thanks,

Bob:

The specific error you're getting "site does not seem to exist" was
identified by Brian Kennemer to have this particular obscure cause on some
systems. Brian wrote an article for the Microsoft KB, you should be able to
find it by searching on the error. To fix the problem, go to SharePoint
Central Administration and make sure the Primary site owner has an email
address entered.

ok, i had this simmilar problem;

all services packs (fullfile +sql +wss), but I forgot one thing: to add the
domain user which is the owner of the sharepoint site ( or portal) in the
users list (http://<site>/projectserver -> Admin -> Manage users and groups
-> Users)

Mike:

If you installed WSS SP1, you need to run the WSSWIZ again to restore the
Project Server customizations. This is a very different problem, with the
same symptoms. Keep in mind that you'll also need to rerun the WSS portion
of Project Server SP1 after you run WSSWIZ if you have installed Project
Server 2003 SP1.
