Cannot create FrontPage Web

When I try to create a new FrontPage web, I get the message:
The webserver at "http://name" does not appear to have Windows Sharepoint
Services installed. I am then unable to create the website. My PC is running
Windows XP Pro, with IIS.
Can anybody help?

Have you installed the FP server extensions?

FP extentions are installed. This is why I am a little baffled. We have an
inrtanet server running Sharepoint Portal server, but this shouldn't affect
things, should it?
