Cannot Create Outlook Tasks with Date Range

I'm trying to create an Outlook task in ON. I can create a Task for today's
date and it sends to Outlook just fine.

The problem comes when I use any of the other date settings/flags, from
Tomorrow through Custom, they all produce the following error message:

The app (ON? Outlook?) accesses the hard drive like crazy for a long time
and then finally this error message pops up: "OneNote has encountered a
problem and cannot complete this operation."

Then the ON window loses focus for a moment and then comes back.

My Outlook and ON are 2007 vers. I also ran the ON Diagnostics and it
reports no errors.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Ideas on how I can fix it?

Can you tell us, step by step, exactly what you're doing?

I'm wanting to take a sentence in ON and convert it to an Outlook Task.

In ON I select the Insert dropdown and select Outlook Task.

If I choose "Today" then everything's fine.
If I choose any other date range I get the error message.

Additional info that may help:
When I had Office 2003, I never had this problem. When ON 2007 was
available, I trialed it and converted to the paid version. Then later I got
Office 2007 Enterprise and installed that.

I mention this because somewhere in that timeframe is when this problem with
Sending Tasks to Outlook started happening.

Hope that's germane to the troubleshooting.

Btw, running the PST repair app you suggested. It's still running.
Apparently it's recovering files and tacking "demo" on the front of
everything. Not sure why it's recovering when there was no report that
anything needed to be fixed.

I wasn't having problems with Outlook. Was curious why you suggested it?
