After upgrading Win2k to win xp, we got some Office 2000 errors. Some of the
errors were fixed after registering the DAO360 dll file (resolved problems
with running Access wizards/switchboard) and upgrading to the most recent
service packs for XP (SP2) and Office corrected the problems trying to access
the help files.
We still have the problem with OWC. When adding an Office Web Component to a
Userform in Excel 2000 (sp3) (or even Word), an "error loading type
library/dll" pops-up. There are no other details. The Office Web Components
were installed Office was setup. There is no problem adding other controls.
We can add a calendar control without any issues. We have VS.Net installed
on the machine with the latest SP installed.
We do have access to workbooks that already contain these type of controls
and they function correctly. We simply cannot add new ones.
Do we have issues running OWC from Office 2000 with Win XP? Any suggestions?
