After upgrading a computer from Windows 98 to Windows XP,
we had to reinstall Office 2000 and updates. After
importing the old data back into Outlook, we clicked
on "Customize Outlook Today" but nothing happened.
Thinking there was some glitch in the data or in the
registry, we tried re-importing the data, even set up a
new user and imported the data there.
I deleted the OUTLWVW.DLL file, and the Windows Installer
promptly put it back in, but still no response when we
click on "Customize Outlook Today" (or Alt-U -the words
are highlighted but the screen otherwise remains the same).
I had the occasion to check with a friend's Outlook
setup... They were running Outlook 2000 with Windows 98SE
and when I clicked on "Customize Outlook Today" it didn't
work there either!
What else can I do?
