Cannot cut and paste from Outlook Express into Word

Is there a setting I need to adjust to be able to cut text
from an e-mail in Outlook Express 6 and paste into Word
2002?

No, you should be able to cut and paste between OE and Word just as you
would between any two other Windows apps. But if you have Word 2002 as part
of Works Suite, then the problem is due to the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in
for Word. One of its nasty habits is clearing the Clipboard when you start
Word. If that's the problem, you'll probably find you can uninstall the
add-in (through Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs) with no regrets.
