Cannot delete _ModCal* calendar

A similar topic was raised but the answer I'm looking for was not provided.
One of the many issues associated with the iPhone and MobileMe debacle is
that Apple's software is creating new (unwanted) calendars in Outlook 2007.
In my case, I now have two calendars, one named "Calendar" and one named
"_ModCal7a7a.Calendar." Despite the fact that only "Calendar" contains any
data, Outlook is behaving as though the "_Mod" calendar is the default. As a
result, right clicking on this calendar shows that "delete" is grayed out and
therefore I cannot delete this calendar. I'm stumped. Any help would be
much appreciated. Thanks, Randy

if you create a new appointment from the inbox (New, Appointment) which
calendar does it go to?

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your response. When I enter new calendar events, or when syncing
occurs, they are entered into "Calendar" -- that part is just what I want.
Even though Outlook behaves this way, the calendar "_ModCal7a7a.Calendar"
appears to be the default calendar. In other words, Outlook would allow me
to delete "Calendar" but it does not allow me to delete "_ModCal..". In
addition, the "_ModCal.." calendar displays in the default blue color whereas
"Calendar" displays in the alternate color, just another piece of evidence
that "ModCal" is being treated as the default calendar. I can rename, move,
and copy "ModCal", but as I said previously, the delete option is grayed out.
Is there a setting in the registry that defines a particular calendar as the
default? Or a hiddent setting in Outlook that sets the default? I
appreciate your advice. Randy

once you reset the folders using /resetfolders command, it should delete
easily.

The apple forums should have info on how to prevent it or what caused it.

clearly deserve your MVP status.

You can restart outlook using the /resetfolders command line to set the
Calendar as the default.

Hi Randy57 & Diane,

I am having the same problem as Randy had about seeing _ModCal* calendar
folder while syncing with iPhone.

I tried using the start up option /resetfolders. But it didnt work for me. I
am still seeing the folder

I closed my outlook and exactly used the below command

Outlook /ResetFolders

Outlook restarted normally , but the _ModCal still exists.

Randy can you help me with exact command you used ?
