Cannot delete blank spaces

I have a Word document that has suddenly developed a blank
area at the bottom of one page; I cannot delete this area
to bring the text below up. I've tried copying and
pasting the top and bottom sections of text into a new
document with no luck. Can anyone help?

Hi T

Here are some things to try.

First, make sure you don't have a manual page break inserted. Click on the ¶ button and you should be able to see manual page
breaks. If you see one, click on it and delete it.

Second, put your cursor in the top paragraph of the page after the mysterious blank area. Format > Paragraph. Click the Line and
Page Breaks tab.

1. Is the paragraph set with a Page Break Before? If so, un-tick that box.

2. Is this paragraph set with Keep With Next (which means "under all possible circumstances, keep this page on the same page as the
next paragraph")? And, are there maybe following paragraphs that are also "Keep with Next"?

Hope this helps.
