Cannot Delete Contact Folder

Before removing a user from our network I copied his
Contacts folder to a subfolder under All Public Folders.
I now wish to delete this folder but find that the Delete
option is not available even when I log in as
Administrator. How can I gain access to this Contacts
folder so that I can remove it?
