Cannot delete document

Using Word 2000. Pasted doc. to copy 2 weeks ago just to
print it. Did not save it. Now every time I open Word
now that doc. is still there. Search says it's in My
Documents,but it isn't. When I close Word, I am asked if
I want to save it. How do I get back to where I open
Word with a clean page?
