cannot delete files on hard drive after adding to Office Live Work

Puzzled

After adding a document to Office Live Workspace, I'm not able to delete the
file from my hard drive. Message says the file is open in another program
even though I am no longer in Live Workspace. The same happens when I try to
delete a file I have saved from Live to my hard drive.
