Cannot delete migrated project custom fields

After migration from Project Server 2003 > 2007, I cannot remove enterprise
project custom fields that were created in the 2003 version.

I can remove them, but if I open up project and go to Project Information,
the field is still visible, it just won't accept any information.

I have tried removing the custom fields both before and after migration with
the same result. However, fields created after the migration can be deleted
just fine.

Does anyone know how to remove old enterprise project fields that were
created on 2003? Please Help!

Thanks!

Have you tried deleting your project cache?
ProjPro2007 has some cache synch issues.
Open project,
From the tools menu / local project cache / cache settings menu item, find
the location of the project cache.
Close Project
In windows explorer browse to that directory and delete the entire cache
directory.
Restart Project.

Gary,

Sounds easy, but there are some problems with it.
This way would also delete the local global.mpt and any Proj2003 stuff.

How about:

Start > Run
Enter %appdata%
Navigate to \Microsoft\MS Project\Cache
Delete this folder

Or does the global file need a delete too?

I'm having the same issue and I tried this and it still did not work. Any
other thoughts? Thanks!
