Cannot Delete or close PST

I recently relocated my PST files in Outlook 2000. The move went fine
but somehow two PST's with identical names appeared. The strange thing
is that neither of these PST's actually exist on my drive and Outlook
won't let me close them down or delete (as they don't exist that is
logical)...BUT i really can't stand to see them in my Outlook folders.
Can anyone help? It's driven me crazy for the past 24 hours.

You corrupted your Profile with whatever method you used to move.
Create a new Profile

Close Outlook. Go to Control Panel-Mail-Data Files and remove the offending
file(s) there.

I tried going to Control Panel - Mail - Data Files but unfortunately am
using Outlook 2000 (not 2003) and that file is not there...in any case,
the files don't exist on my drive so i assume wouldn't be there even if
i could access that area...thanks for trying.

Sorry - do you mean to create a new profile/account in Outlook? I'm not
