Someone sent me an OPML file. It install 156 RSS feeds on my machine. I am
running Outlook 2007, fully patched, exchange server. I was able to delete
all but 16. With these 16 I get the error message "Cannot delete folder.
Right-click the folder and then click Properties to check your permission for
the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your
permissions. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this
operation." I have checked and I am the "Owner" of all these folders. I have
tried all the following:
1. Turned off "Sync RSS Feeds to the common Feed List"
2. Deleted all the RSS feeds from Tools - Accounts
3. Cleared offline items
4. Turned off everything in Internet Explorer Tools - Content - Feeds Setting
5. Rebooted the computer
6. Turned off exchange synchronization (too late on this)
Apparently it already made the RSS feeds part of my exchange file as these
folders now appear on both my laptop Outlook 2007 and my desktop 2007. This
means it will do no good to delete the OST file on the local machine.
How do I get rid of these RSS feed folders?
Thanks, Will Fleenor
