Cannot display message in Reading Pane

In Outlook 2007, when I do a search in a folder, I can't read the items in
the reading pane. Also, I can't open the item either. When I clear the search
and find the item without doing a search, I can open it easily.

I get the following message:

"This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read
its contents".

Attempting to open the message, yields the following error: "Cannot open
this item".

Again, navigating to the message manually, will display the preview and the
email just fine. This only happens on search results. Please help.

Exactly the problem I have.
I thought it must be something to do with the full-text indexing. I
disabled that in my Exchange 2003. Same thing. I defragmented the
database. same thing. I downloaded the office update. Same thing. This
is one of the many bugs I have encountered since upgrading the EX2003
and outlook 2007. New version doesn't mean it is any better. I would
rather stay with my EX55 and outlook 2000.
Now I don't even see how I search only title only.

Ok. I think I know why. It is the FULL-INDEXING. I had to delete the
full-indexing and restart outlook and now it works.
